FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE & ROLE OF THE FUNDING SOURCE
Financial Disclosure
All sources of financial support, including grants, institutional funds, or commercial sponsorship, must be disclosed in the manuscript under the subtitling "Financial Disclosure" (placed after the main text, before the references).
Example:
- This work was supported by a research grant from the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan (Grant No. 12345).
- The authors received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or non-profit sectors.
Role of the funding source
At the end of the manuscript, authors must include a subheading titled “Role of the Funding Source”. If a sponsor was involved in the study, the specific contributions must be stated in the acknowledgements section. For example: “The sponsor contributed to study design, data collection, and manuscript review. The sponsor had no role in data analysis or in the decision to submit the manuscript for publication.”
Author responsibility
The corresponding author must confirm in the submission cover letter that:
- They had full access to all study data
- They had final responsibility for the decision to submit the manuscript for publication
Publication
KMUJ will publish the Grant Support and Financial Disclosure statements for each article exactly as provided by the authors.
