Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it submitted to another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The Title Page should include the full title of the manuscript, a short running title, and the type of article (e.g., Original Article, Review, Case Report). It must list the full names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, and email addresses. The corresponding author should be clearly identified with complete contact information.
- Authors must also provide their ORCID iDs—this is mandatory.
- The manuscript should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- A structured abstract of no more than 250 words is required for original articles, comprising the following headings: Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Below the abstract, provide 5 to 10 keywords that align with MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) terms to enhance discoverability.
-
The manuscript text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font.
Each section of the manuscript—such as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and References—must start on a new page for clarity and ease of review. - The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- All tables and figures must be placed on separate pages at the end of the manuscript and not embedded in the text. Each table and figure should be cited in the text in sequential order. Legends for figures and explanatory footnotes for tables must be provided to ensure comprehension by reviewers and readers.
- References should follow the Vancouver style and be cited sequentially in the text. Each reference must be checked for accuracy, and DOIs or URLs should be included where available.
- If the manuscript reports a clinical trial, it must be registered in a publicly accessible WHO approved database [International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP)]. The trial registration number must be included in the Methods section. Submissions of unregistered trials will not be considered.
- Authors may submit supplementary materials such as datasets, appendices, high-resolution images, or multimedia files as separate documents. These should be properly labeled and referenced in the main manuscript and uploaded during the submission process to aid in the evaluation of research integrity.
- All listed authors must meet the ICMJE criteria for authorship.
- Authors agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved
